Spread across the bank of a stream that runs through the 1.5 acre property, the Haffet Land is a delightful jungle hideaway and a naturalist's treasure trove. Wrapped in the cool embrace of a rainforest, stone lined pathways; canopied by majestic trees, lead to tree huts built in the style native to the region. Built of brick with wooden rafters on the roof, furnished in cane, wood and fabrics of discreet elegance, the tree huts are equipped with all modern amenities.
The accommodations are designed so as to provide residents an immediate experience of the surrounding sights and sounds. Available in configurations ranging from heady tree houses, to cottages on stilts overlooking the stream and further downstream everywhere, the muted hiss of the stream is a continuous serenade. Days begin with the rousing melody of a Whistling Thrush. The forest comes alive with an orchestration of sounds and bands of birds. The day ahead is ripe with possibilities. Guests may chose to relax in their tree huts/cottages, go for walks in the nearby areas in the company of the resident naturalist, swim in the pond, and take part in the many outdoor activities that the resort has included in its itineraries.
The Haffet Land will be having one restaurant which will be offering traditional Kerala foods. The guests across from the globe can taste the variety foods of Kerala. The main attraction of the foods at the restaurants is that it is made from the vegetables made from garden of the promoter itself. Now a day the vegetables are highly intoxicated due to the excessive use of pesticides so as a responsibility towards the guests who visit and having foods from the restaurants so promoter prefer the use of vegetables from his garden. The restaurant works 24*7 and it also providing snacks and recreational food service; this includes small snacks and tender coconuts for the guests.
Keeping colorful and fancy fishes known as ornamental fishes, aquarium fishes, or live jewels is one of the oldest and most popular hobbies in the world. The growing interest in aquarium fishes has resulted in steady increase in aquarium fish trade. Haffet Land has two tanks artificially made; one in the form of a boat and the other like a pond.
Stable is another main attraction in the Haffet Land in which livestock, especially Cows and Goats are kept. Two different building adjacent to each other is setup for the living of 10 cows and 20 goats. There are many different types of stables in use today but at Haffet Land it is large with a door each end and individual stalls inside or free standing stables with the classic top and bottom opening doors. The visitors can experience how cows and goats are living and can have a chance to know the real things happening with the stable.
There are several species of lovebirds and pigeons preserved at the Haffet Land. The main intention of the promoter is to bring a natural feeling to the Haffet Land with the humming of the birds. The visitors to the Haffet Land especially student community can know about the birds and can start the hobby of bird farming. They are also feisty little birds. They are very social and form deep bonds with their owners and are sometimes very cuddly birds, but their intense personalities can also make them prone to nipping and territorial aggressiveness and jealousy.
The Haffet Land will be having an Ayurveda center which offers body massage to the visitors. It is a natural healing science for cure, prevention or rejuvenation of the body, based on the use of herbs or herbal medicines. Steam bath facility is available at the Ayurveda center. Separate steam bath facility is for men and women.
Kerala is rich in ethnic diversity that has resulted in a considerable body of ethno botanical gardens, of which a deep understanding of medicinal plants supported by high consensus. Rural people have strong relations with the surrounding environment. Vermicompost is the product or process of composting using various worms, usually red wigglers, white worms, and other earthworms to create a heterogeneous mixture of decomposing vegetable or food waste, bedding materials, and vermicast. Vermicast, also called worm castings, worm humus or worm manure, is the end-product of the breakdown of organic matter by an earthworm. These castings have been shown to contain reduced levels of contaminants and a higher saturation of nutrients than do organic materials before vermicomposting. By one unit at the Haffet land we can decomposes all vegetable waste that will produce as a bye product as day today activity.
The main attraction at the Haffet Land is the inmate Penguin. It will be a new experience for the visitors to have a glimpse of this bird from their homeland India. Promoter is adamant to have a penguin at Hafffet Land. Artificial living conditions will be provided for the happy stay at Haffet Land. Some species of Penguin live very close to the equator where it is quite warm. Breed from these species will be at the Haffet Land. To provide cool habitat chiller and air conditioning will be installed at the cage. They need plenty of fish and squid to survive. Most penguins spend about A¾ of their time in the water. Their bodies are designed to easily adapt to the water.
